What hours can renovation work run in Toronto?

Under Toronto Municipal Code Chapter 591, construction noise must not be clearly audible from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Monday to Friday. On Saturday it is restricted from 12:01 a.m. to 9 a.m. and from 7 p.m. to midnight. It is not permitted at all on Sunday or statutory holidays unless the City issues a Noise Exemption Permit.

That is why a schedule promised with weekend work in it is usually a schedule that slips. We build the timeline around the bylaw instead.
