Painting an older Toronto interior
Twenty-nine percent of Toronto households live in a dwelling built in 1960 or earlier, and those walls have history: plaster that has cracked at corners, patched repairs from old wiring runs, glossy oil-based trim that will not hold new paint without sanding and a bonding primer, and nail pops along every stud line. None of that is painting work in the sense of applying colour, but all of it is what decides whether the finished wall reads flat. On a room like that the price per square foot tells you very little. What decides the result is the hours of preparation in the quote and where the primer goes. We write both into the quote so you can compare two prices on the same scope instead of guessing which one left the prep out.
